Fashion is a fickle mistress, and no more so than when it comes to interior colours. Here’s a run down of the upcoming hot hues and peak at what the interior trend setters have in store for all of us.
To some extent, the general eco-friendly tones that have dominated for some years are set to continue. Organic products contain very few man-made dyes, which means there will be an influx of softer, Earthy colours like, beige, brown and green.
On the other hand, the global tones that have filtered down from the fashion world are much more bold and vibrant. This however is not a problem. The current name of the game is Mix, Match and get complimentary. Expect to see the earthy tones side-by-side with the pinks, purples and blues of the global tone palette.

Their predictions are based on a whole host of influences including, the economy, technology and lifestyle, as well as the moods, needs and aspirations of the consumer. The extensive trend forecast is divided into nine colour palettes. Each palette has its own theme, from the rich naturals of Greenmarket and subtle accents of Tinged Neutrals, right through to the bold contrasts of Gatherings and Ambiance.
So there you have it. If you’re looking to redecorate in the coming 12 months, don’t be afraid to contrast your styles. But most of all, despite the current trends, the best colours to use are the ones that you like.
